Choose the development scope
Start with a proven model or define a custom control
ACMELEC works with HVAC brands, distributors and project buyers on thermostats for VRF systems, fan coil units, floor heating and residential boilers. The starting point is the actual HVAC interface and required control behaviour.
OEM: adapt an existing model
Start from a thermostat base model, then agree the logo, panel graphics, labels, manual and packaging. Confirm the exact hardware and protocol version before approving samples.
ODM: review a development brief
For a different enclosure, control logic, interface or software requirement, provide a functional brief for feasibility review. Hardware, firmware and structure development are evaluated by project; the standard product MOQ does not define the minimum for every custom development.

Quotation brief
Information to prepare before development
- HVAC system: product family, full equipment model, current controller and clear wiring or connector photos.
- Electrical requirements: supply voltage, load or valve type, output and sensor requirements.
- Control and integration: required functions, WiFi, Zigbee, Modbus or other interface, app platform and any existing host controller.
- Brand and market: logo artwork, panel design, manual language, packaging and destination country.
- Order plan: sample quantity, expected production quantity and requested delivery schedule.
Use the OEM thermostat project checklist to prepare a detailed brief. For a VRF project, confirm the complete indoor-unit model and interface; a matching brand name alone is not compatibility confirmation.
Samples and purchasing
MOQ, branding and sample lead times
The following terms apply to standard products and common adjustments. Custom hardware, firmware or app development requires a separate project review.
Standard MOQ and logo
Standard MOQ is 60 units/sets. Different models, protocols or software versions may be counted separately. A laser-engraved product logo is free when the standard MOQ is met.
Packaging
Orders below 500 units/sets use standard white corrugated packaging. Full-color custom-logo packaging is available from 500 units/sets. Special inserts, barcodes and languages are confirmed by project.
Sample preparation
Standard stock samples normally take approximately 3 working days after requirements and payment are confirmed. Functional or protocol configuration normally takes 15–20 working days; logo, manual or packaging adjustments normally take approximately 10 working days.
Production planning
Bulk lead time is quoted according to quantity, customization and the production schedule. Confirm the approved model, configuration, artwork and documentation before arranging production.
Sample verification
Agree what the sample must demonstrate
Use the intended HVAC equipment and host controller to check wiring, control outputs, sensors, operating modes and communication. For wireless models, confirm pairing and the required app or gateway. Record the exact sample configuration and any changes requested before approving production.
Compare the supplied labels, manual and packaging with the agreed artwork. If the project retains an original HVAC controller, include controller coexistence in the compatibility review.
Documentation for the ordered version
CE, RoHS, applicable RED, FCC and wireless-module documents are confirmed by model, configuration and target market. One certificate does not cover every product or customization.
